What's your understanding of memory? Take part in this study

Understanding individuals' views about memory is crucial for many organisations, such as the justice system, where judges and jurors must evaluate the memory of witnesses.

Memory  

All UCL students are invited to take part in this online study, which concerns your personal beliefs about what memory is like and how it operates in your experience. By participating you are contributing not only to this study but to the wider understanding of factors which could potentially be used to improve the justice system.

What will it involve? 

In an online survey, you will be asked to read a series of ideas or statements about memory. Your task is to say whether you agree or disagree with them. You will then be asked some demographic questions. This study should take no longer than 10 minutes.

What else do I need to know?

This is an online survey designed using Qualtrics. All data collected will be stored in a secure database, anonymised, and not traceable back to you. Please contact Professor Chris Brewin or Huiyu Li if you have any questions/concerns.

Ethical approval for this study has been provided by the Ethics Chair for the Research Department of Language and Cognition (Reference: DSD/2014/001)
