Participants needed for dyslexia study

1 February 2018

Are you dyslexic and a native English speaker? Are you dyslexic and fluent in German and English? This study needs you!  What is it about?  As part of an undergraduate Psychology degree, this research project is investigating the underlying cognitive causes of dyslexia in different languages.

Scrabble letters

Who is it for?

Adults aged 18+ that fall into any of the following categories:

  • dyslexic native English speakers
  • dyslexic German / English bilinguals
  • non-dyslexic German / English bilinguals

What do I have to do?

The study will take up to 30 minutes of your time, and will involve:

  • Completion of an online questionnaire regarding your language experience (which you can fill out from home)
  • A face-to-face session where you will complete three tasks

What else do I need to know?

While there is no financial reward for taking part, the session should be enjoyable and the student aims to get the study published. By helping to understand the causes of dyslexia in different languages, this will help develop interventions, improving the lives of those affected.
