24-hour Tube strike

RMT has also announced that a 24-hour Tube strike will be effective on the London Underground from 6pm on Sunday 8 January until 5.59pm on Monday 9 January.

It is intended that all examinations scheduled during the strike action will take place at the times and in the venues indicated on your individual timetables, and you should make every effort to attend the examination on time.

If you arrive more than 30 minutes after the start time for the examination, you will be subject to the late arrivals procedure as detailed in the Examination Guide for Candidates which means that you will not be permitted entry to the hall but will be directed to your parent department.

Where there are departmental tests, including oral and practical examinations, scheduled for the affected date, you should contact the parent and/or teaching departments for further information.

You should allow extra time to get to the venues and are advised to visit the Transport for London website or National Rail website for information about alternative routes and other general travel advice in order to plan your journey in advance.
