Student Barometer: encourage UCL students to take part

28 October 2015

Next Monday, the autumn wave of the Student Barometer survey begins.

Student Barometer: encourage UCL students to take part The Barometer is our largest student survey and is open to all students at all levels, from first year undergraduates to final year PhD students. It is unique in covering all aspects of the university experience, from teaching and learning, accommodation, the campus environment, arrival at UCL, student support to whether students would recommend us.

Student surveys are vital to the success of UCL - they provide key information about where we need to focus our resources, and we're now putting processes in place to ensure we make best use of this information. We want to hear from more students than ever before, as higher response rates give us more accurate information about students' experiences here.

Student Barometer email

Students will be sent an email to their UCL email account from the Student Surveys team inviting them to take part in the Student Barometer. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and this year we're giving away 30 Amazon vouchers up to £100, as well as the global prize draw of £1,000. The survey will run from Monday 2 November until Friday 27 November.

Please encourage the students you come into contact with to complete the survey online before 27 November.

The survey is also being promoted via a range of UCL-branded material. This includes a poster and flyer campaign, the 'wallpaper' on all cluster PCs, images on digital screens, email banners and on Moodle.

If you would like any publicity to display in your department (electronic or printed) please contact Rebecca Allen in the UCL Student Surveys team.
