Participants for UCL Grand Challenges wellbeing study

10 October 2012

The UCL Windows to Wellbeing research team are looking for participants to take part in a study aimed at investigating and promoting wellbeing at UCL.

You are eligible to take part if you are:

  • Currently retired or considering retirement within the next 10 years

A recent government review of the academic research into wellbeing suggested that individuals can improve their wellbeing and make themselves feel better in everyday life by following some simple advice.

This project will explain the evidence and give participants a chance to practice some relevant activities. Participants will take part in one of two evidence based programmes designed to investigate and promote wellbeing, either via email or in 4 hour long sessions which will be run on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes over the next 2 months. Afterwards participants would be asked to fill out a very quick questionnaire.

This study has been approved by the UCL CEPH Ethics chair (CEHP/2012/025).

Please contact the research team (windowstowellbeing@gmail.com) or go to the website for further information and to fill out the first, very short questionnaire: www.ucl.ac.uk/human-wellbeing/projects/windows-to-wellbeing
