25 March 2014

In collaboration with

ebonyinspireduk.co.uk/" target="_self">Ebony Inspired, Shanell Johnson, UCLU Black and Minority Ethnic Students' Officer (BMESO) is proud to present UCL's first Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) networking event on Monday, 31 March, 2014.

The event will run from 6:00-9:00pm in the Haldane Room in the Wilkins Building (North Cloisters).

Tickets are £5 for UCL students, £10 for UCL staff and £15/20 for all other professionals. They can be purchased here

UCLU is the first students' union to have a full-time BMESO. The posting coincided with a decade-long push from the National Union of Students' Black Students' campaign to have a BMESO in every union.

Shanell Johnson is proud to deliver on her intention to create a space for BME networking, expressed at the beginning of the academic year.

This event aims to assist in the creation of an equal playing field among the UCL community in order to fully promote the inclusivity, diversity and equality to which the university is committed.
