Funding available to develop e-learning use in your teaching

21 March 2012

Would you like to develop the use of e-learning in your teaching?  Do you have innovative ideas but need support putting them into practice? UCL's E-Learning Development Grant (ELDG) funding may help.

ISD

The scheme gives small grants (up to £1000) which would normally be used to pay students to help you develop your ideas, but may also contribute towards equipment or software costs if a strong case for this can be made. You will also receive personal support from a learning technologist from UCL's Learning Technology Support Services (LTSS).

Among the benefits will be:

  • for busy academics - personal support from LTSS and an additional resource to help develop materials and learning activities
  • for employed students - useful work experience and the development of useful and marketable skills
  • for all students - development of high quality online activities that aid teaching, learning and student support

For more information on the scheme visit the UCL teaching and learning portal.

The deadline for applications is 4 May 2012.

The Office of the Vice Provost (Education) has provided £ 20,000 to fund the ELDGs in 2012/13.
