We are investigating new ways of delivery personalised real time travel infomation on the London underground.

This week the spotlight is on Mark West, UCL Security Manager.

What is your role and what does it involve?

The outcomes of REF 2014 will be crucially important to UCL in providing funding to maintain its internationally excellent research activity. Submissions to REF are to be made by a deadline in late November 2013; the assessment phase takes place during 2014.

Over the summer, UCL’s virtual learning environment Moodle was upgraded to Moodle2. This not only gave it a makeover but also enhanced and added to its functionality.

This week the spotlight is on Professor Gesine Manuwald, UCL Greek and Latin.

What is your role and what does it involve?

Healthy living is an important part of maintaining good health during winter months. The nights are drawing in and there’s a real taste of autumn in the air.  Just making some small changes in your daily routine can help to boost your health.

The UCL Speech Hearing and Phonetic Sciences department is looking for participants over the age of 60 with good hearing for a study looking at the effects of ageing on speech perception in noisy environments.

UCL Communications has completed the first phase of a project to revamp the maps pages. The site now includes an interactive map to help people find buildings, public lecture theatres and other useful resources.
