Open City documentary training courses - discounted for students and staff

A series of major filmmaking workshops and courses will be running over Easter at a discounted price for UCL students and staff.

Film making Two of the leading ethnographic and documentary filmmakers in Europe will be involved - Michael Yorke and Vikram Jayanti.

There is an Easter two week Documentary Workshop being led by Michael Yorker (Eunuchs - India's Third Gender and other films). The course will include exercises in conceiving, developing, producing, shooting and editing a short documentary. Training will be using a Sony PD150/170. The course runs from 2 April - 13 April 2012 and costs £699 for students and £799 for staff.

Alternatively, there is a three week Documentary Summer School run by Vikram Jayanti (Rumble in the Jungle; The Agony and the Ecstasy of Phil Spector and many others). The course will teach how to conceive, develop, produce, shoot and edit your own short documentary. Training will use a Panasonic HMC41. The course runs from 18 June - 6 July 2012 and costs £999 for students and £1099 for staff.
