February is Diversity Month at UCL

20 January 2012

February is Diversity Month at UCL and there is a varied programme of events taking place to celebrate diversity across the organisation.

Diversity

Sarah Guise (Head of UCL Equalities and Diversity) explained: "Diversity recognises that our differences are to be respected and promoted. Celebrating diversity creates an inclusive and productive environment in which everybody feels valued and where talents are fully realised. During February 2012, an exciting programme of events has been scheduled to both celebrate diversity and examine the ongoing and evolving challenges some groups face in education, work and wider society. "

Speakers at the various events include UCL academics, such as Dr Katrina Scior (Academic Director & Senior Lecturer, UCL Psychology), external experts such as Matthew Todd,  Editor of Attitude magazine and a number of UCL students.

The theme of this year's Diversity Month is the UCL Grand Challenge of Human Wellbeing.
