6 February 2012

The London Varsity is the annual rugby event between UCL and Kings College London, with both Women's and Men's Rugby teams competing.

varsitylogo This year's event will take place on Friday 2 March 2012 at the Twickenham Stoop.

The Women's match kicks off at 5.30pm with the Men's match following at 7.30pm. The London varsity is one of the oldest rivalries in Rugby history, with both teams dating back over a century and King's College London being a founding member of the RFU.

Alexandria Hingley, UCLU Sports and Physical Activity Development Co-ordinator, said: "The Varsity encapsulates a rivalry spanning over 180 years and attracts a large number of alumni and students along with people from the local community. With both sides training hard and dominating their current leagues, the matches will be an intense and well fought battle to see who will be crowned the ultimate Varsity Champions.

"This year we are excited to announce that The London Varsity will be held at Premiership Rugby Ground the Twickenham Stoop for the first time, located in the heart of English rugby. The evening is set to be a night to remember, with half time entertainment from the KCL and UCL Cheerleaders bringing light relief from the intensity of the two matches."

Standard tickets start at £8 for students and £12 for non-students. To book your standard tickets please visit the link below. Tickets will also be available on the day from the venue.
