UCL staff and students along with local school children gathered together on 6 December for UCL's 2011 Charity Concert in the Quad.

They enjoyed workshops and performances by UCLU Clubs and Societies, all in aid of Centrepoint, a charity which works with young homeless people to give them advice, a hot meal and even a hostel for the night.

James Skuse, Democracy and Communications Officer, UCLU, said: "I've been responsible for organising today's charity concert in the quad, which is an annual event where we bring together societies, staff, kids, local community, have a bit of a sing along. There is a market, mulled wine; it's just a really good way to get into the Christmas spirit."

"This year I have chosen to donate all the proceeds to Centrepoint, which is a charity which helps kids who are homeless. I hope we'll be able to make a real difference with all the money raised today", Skuse added.
