UCL has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Entrepreneurial University of the Year Award.

Workshop at IDEALondon

The Award, which is sponsored by the National Centre for Entrepreneurship Education, seeks to recognise an institution which has developed an unparalleled environment for fostering enterprise throughout its staff and students and delivered significant impact in its local community, across the UK and overseas.

UCL has been shortlisted for the Award along with Kingston University, Teesside University, the University of Chester, the University of Central Lancashire and Anglia Ruskin University.

The winner of the Award will be announced at a ceremony in London on 27th November this year.

Commenting on being shortlisted, Timothy Barnes, Director of Enterprise Operations at UCL, said:

"I'm delighted we've been shortlisted for this award - it's recognition in itself of all the hard work staff across the Enterprise division have done over the last year to make UCL a leader in promoting entrepreneurship and working with business across the university.

"Regardless of whether we win the award, UCL is at the forefront of supporting entrepreneurs from all walks of life, whether they are students, staff, or young people and businesses from our community in London.

"We are constantly innovating to ensure the support we offer mirrors the needs of entrepreneurs and gives them the very best start their businesses need to flourish."
