Dr Mark Lythgoe, UCL Institute of Child Health, will be presenting a Radio 4 documentary looking at the neuroscience behind snap decisions.

On ‘Inside Intuition’, he will describe the unconscious processes that take place in the brain when we make instinctive judgements. The programme explores phenomena such as speed-dating, where participants are forced to make snap decisions about other people, and interviews with a fireman and a rock-climber, both of whom have to rely on their instinctive judgement in order to survive.

‘Inside Intuition’ will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 this Friday at 11am.
