HRH The Duke of York visits UCL

HRH The Duke of York visited UCL on Monday to see how the university is helping entrepreneurs with promising start-up companies achieve international growth.

At the start of his visit the Duke of York met Professor Michael Arthur, UCL President & Provost, and Dr Celia Caulcott, Vice Provost (Enterprise).

The Duke of York also met Lebanese entrepreneurs who have taken part in the International Accelerator Programme run by the UK-Lebanon Tech Hub, an initiative by the Central Bank of Lebanon and the British government.

UCL is a key partner in the six-month programme, providing training modules focusing on finance, sales and marketing. 

Professor Michael Arthur, UCL President & Provost, said:

"UCL has been very pleased to support these Lebanese companies on their path to global growth. Our involvement in the International Accelerator Programme highlights our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and to using our training and mentoring expertise to help start-up businesses expand."
