Around 300 runners from all around London and the South East will be taking part in Regents Park on 16 March. All of the runners will be raising money to go towards MSF's work around the world.

There will be a 5km and a 10km route, and runners can choose which one they do. The run will be timed with chip-timing, so competitors will get an exact time for their run and MSF are offering prizes for the best fundraisers and a goody-bag for all runners.

Alisha Allana (UCL MBBS iBSc Pharmacology), who is organising this year's event, commented: "The Friends of MSF run is organised annually not only to raise money for MSF, but perhaps more importantly, in order to build awareness about their amazing work around the world.  I have been involved with MSF for a number of years and I am excited to bring together students, MSF-UK staff, health professionals and keen runners for what promises to be an incredible day. Let's hope the weather warms up for us!"

MSF works in over 60 countries around the world. They provide emergency medical aid to the victims of war, natural disasters and epidemics. With around 28,000 local and international employees located around the world, they offer assistance to those who need it the most irrespective of race, religion or political affliction.
