Unitemps takes home three awards at the 2020 Unitemps Awards

Unitemps – UCL’s internal recruitment agency specialising in managing temporary job vacancies – has won three awards at the annual Unitemps Awards which took place in August 2020.

The Unitemps team won ‘Branch of the Year’ at the annual Unitemps Awards, placing first amongst 18 other branches across the UK and Australia. The Unitemps Awards recognise the talent, dedication and success of team members and branches across the network.

In addition to this achievement, they received the ‘Turnover Award £5m’ and Valerie Maugenest – Unitemps Administrator – received a personal award for ‘Franchise Support Person of the Year’ – congratulations!

Special congratulations to Valerie for winning her personal award – she is a great asset to the team and the recognition is very well deserved!”

Since October 2018, Unitemps have been helping colleagues across UCL with their recruitment needs as well as providing a growing pool of talented temporary workers who represent the excellence and diversity of the university community at large. Over the past 12 months, Unitemps have processed 1600 jobs (75% increase from year 1) and over 5500 assignments representing a 95% increase from the first year. Most recently, the team have supported colleagues with some large recruitment campaigns including:

  • 150 Connected Learning Student Inters
  • 180 Accommodation Ambassadors and Teams Leaders
  • 1000 Transition Mentors to support new incoming students in 2020/21
