-  Key information about your housing options at UCL

UCL Managed Accommodation

If you have queries regarding the progress of your application for accommodation please contact UCL Student Accommodation or telephone: +44 (0)20 7679 6322 Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

You will be required to pay your residence fees each term; an email notification will be sent to your UCL email account when your invoice is available on your Portico account.

All rooms have WiFi (eduroam) which you can use to connect to the UCL network and the Internet. The cost of connection is included in your residence fees. You will need your UCL user ID and password to be able to access the Internet.

Most residences have a common room or social learning space and WiFi connectivity is available in these areas. 

The subletting of the room allocated to you is not allowed, to swap your room you need to gain agreement from the UCL Student Accommodation Office.

Staying in private accommodation

If you are not staying in accommodation provided by UCL, finding a suitable place to stay needs to be your first priority.

You can contact the University of London Housing Services for advice on finding private sector accommodation.  In addition to providing private sector housing assistance, the University of London Housing Services runs a Property Management Unit providing centrally managed self-catered accommodation.

UCL Guarantee Scheme

If you need assistance when signing a contract with a private sector landlord you can take advantage of the UCL Guarantee Scheme. Please contact UCL Student Accommodation for further information.
