Internships 2011/12

If you are thinking of working in a research laboratory this Summer vacation, then now is the time to apply for funding.

Various organisations will provide support for students to undertake such work experience for 6-8 weeks over the Summer vacation and the usual stage is between the 2nd and 3rd undergraduate years.

First, you need to find a member of staff prepared to take you on in their lab for the Summer. Provided they have the time and funding to pay for the research materials and provided you have good grades from your first year, then there is a fair chance of success following relatively simple application procedures.
