Pottery faces

There are some 12,330 objects made of pottery in the Petrie Museum today, equivalent to about 15% of the whole collection. Many of these ceramics are on display in the pottery gallery of the Museum, although historically little interpretation has been offered to the public about them. In 2014 a project focussed upon developing new labels and themes in this gallery was begun and is slowly being rolled out through the displays. On this page you can find further information about the pottery collection produced during this project.
