Biography

Celine West is Head of Learning and Access for UCL Museums, with a strategic overview of the Collections' work with external audiences such as schools and community groups. Celine runs the collections' outreach programme, delivering workshops and commissioning freelancers who run classes in schools using museum objects. She works on one-off projects such as the national launch of the Big Draw.

Recent work has focused on a model for dialogue-focused outreach using a single object to inspire people to address potentially contentious topics. A new article in the journal Museum Management and Curatorship records the process and issues around developing this new model [MMC Volume 8 No. 1]
