Exhibitions & Events in the Public Realm

UCL's main public spaces are the Front Quadrangle, the Portico Podium, the North and South Cloisters and central Octagon. If you are considering mounting any kind of display or exhibition, or are organising an event in the public realm spaces, please refer to UCL's Exhibitions and Events Guidelines. Enquiries about the availability of these spaces should be made through Room Bookings:

If your exhibition or event is scheduled to run for more than 7 days (including set up and dismantling) it is automatically considered a major event, and must be approved in advance by UCL's Public Programming Group. You should consult UCL's Exhibitions and Events Policy and submit a proposal form at least 4 months in advance to UCL's Exhibitions Co-ordinator, Sussanah Chan, who can also advise you on the practicalities of staging exhibitions:

Filming and Photography

The Museums are used regularly as filming locations, at very competitive rates, and researchers are welcome to use photography. Click here (155KB Word doc) to download information about filming and photography in the museums.
