Elite tombs (from Badarian to the First Dynasty)
(4400 - 3000 BC)
especially in periods without writing the social position of persons is visible
through differences in burials
Tomb are different in size, position, construction and contents
of finds
bigger, richer, better placed tombs might be a sign for the higher importance
of the tomb owner
The following tombs are identifiable as elite tombs either by
size or because of special finds
