Fishing: Fishing with net

While there are few scenes in formal art showing fishing with a fish hook, there are many reliefs and paintings in tomb chapels showing men fishing with a net. Few sites have preserved examples of fishing nets: major exceptions are Fayum sites such as Lahun and Gurob, where fishing would have been an especially important industry, with the Fayum lake not far, and where preservation of organic materials is good.
