Shurafa: some finds: UC 71153

date: late Roman to Byzantine Period (about 300-640 AD)

Bone cosmetic object of uncertain function, with plain central handle, ending at one end in schematically sculpted figure of naked female with one hand to legs, other to breasts, with incised lines indicating hair (Aphrodite ?); other end consists of a loop with forked finial; one side of figure and handle broken away.
