Button seals

 

'Button seal' is a name given to simple stamp seals, in use in Egypt mainly in the late Old Kingdom and First Intermediate Period
the Petrie Museum has the biggest collection of button seals outside of Egypt.

Button seals are sporadically attested since the Naqada Period, Hartung: 1998: 206, note 30.
