Kingship in Ancient Egypt

With ancient Egyptian religion, and as expressed in hieroglyphic script and formal art, ancient Egyptian kingship is an integral part of the core of the civilisation. It comes into view at the unification of Egypt by 3000 BC, and gradually (and with the religion, script and art) loses its distinctive character during the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
