Roman Period 'cosmetic trays': UC 2452

Grey/black steatite bowl with shell relief in centre of interior against palm leaf incised pattern; there was possibly a Horus head at apex of shell, but this is now ground away. Exterior has central rosette and incised leaf design. The rim is grooved and broken at apex and one side of shell.
