My Research Interests are
- Emergence and decay of magnetic flux on the solar surface
- Long-term evolution of active regions
- Coronal mass ejections
- Magnetic helicity
- Coronal heating
- Flows in the solar atmosphere and generation of the solar wind
My BIG Question about Solar & Stellar Physics is
''Shall we ever fully understand the generation and evolution of solar magnetic fields?''
A Solar Quote I Love is
''If it were not for its magnetic field, the Sun would be as dull a star as most astronomers think it is.'' R. B. Leighton
One Fact About Me is
I am an enthusiastic cook.

The cartoon shows the evolution of the magnetic connectivities of a coronal mass ejection (CME) in the low solar corona (from Mandrini et al., 2007, Solar Physics, 244, pp. 25-44). Due to magnetic reconnections with surrounding magnetic structures a large part of the Sun becomes constituent of the CME.
