Photon Detection Systems
The Photon Detection Systems Group carries out research and development into the underlying technology of photon detectors; the core of telescopes, cameras and other instruments.
The group specialises in photon detectors and calibration of photon-based instrumentation, as well as Optical Modelling. We also collaborate closely with:
- our sister groups at MSSL who work on Plasma Detection Systems, Imaging and Cryogenics.
- UCL's High Energy Physics Group who have a subset at MSSL.
