MSSL Awards and Prizes
Every autumn the following internal awards are made.
In each case 1-2 page nominations for the award are assessed by the Director and Co-Directors

The Robert Boyd award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement
Professor Sir Robert Boyd was the first Director of MSSL.
Academic members of staff and staff on 'advanced' fellowships are not eligible for this award. During the award ceremony the recipient is required to give a 30 minute presentation of their work.

The Alan Johnstone award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement by a Research Student
Professor Alan Johnstone was head of the Space Plasma Group at MSSL until his death. He was an inspirational teacher and internationally renound scientist. During the award ceremony the recipient is required to give a 10 minute presentation of their work.

The Elizabeth Puchnarewicz award for Outstanding Contribution to Public Outreach
Dr Liz Puchnarewicz was a lecturer in the astrophysics at MSSL with particular interest in public outreach.

The John Raymont award for Outstanding Commitment to MSSL's Technology Programme
John Raymont was a technician and test engineer at MSSL who embodied the culture of the organisation through his commitment to space science technology.Silva Code Source «HTML: Add horizontal rule»
