Overview

The UCL School of Management Affiliate programmes attract students from all over the world, coming from top institutions with backgrounds in business, management, economics, statistics, and engineering, amongst others. The School is split over two sites in London with undergraduate teaching taking place at the main UCL campus in Bloomsbury and postgraduate teaching taking place at One Canada Square in Canary Wharf.

We also accept affiliate students from departments across UCL who are interested in taking one or two modules with us.

Undergraduate affiliate students are typically in their third/junior year of study and are treated as third year students at UCL. In the past students have returned to take up places on MSc programmes offered by the UCL School of Management.

Affiliate students joining UCL School of Management should be interested in the following:

How to apply

Applicants should complete a UCL application form and submit it to UCL Registry.

To register for individual modules you should make your selections on Portico as early as possible.

When to apply

UCL School of Management only accepts affiliate students who are at UCL for the full academic year from September to June or from January to June. It is essential that all students are here for the examinations in April/May.

We do not accept students on our affiliate programmes who are only at UCL from September to December. Special arrangements are in place for students from SMU, HEC, Dauphine and KU Leuven.

Key Dates

International affiliate students are invited to attend the UCL International Orientation Programme (ISOP). This normally takes place at the end of the week prior to induction week and includes a timed slot with host departments. January starters are invited to visit their parent department the week before teaching starts.

Module Registration

To register for individual modules students are advised to submit selections as early as possible once they have completed enrolment at UCL so as to guarantee a space on the module.

Module selections usually open to students in the middle of August and students must submit their choices by the end of the second week of the first term.

Key Dates

Term Dates 2023/24

Notes:

(i) UCL Freshers/Induction week takes place week commencing September 25th 2023.

(ii) Teaching starts on Monday October 2nd 2023.
(ii) Terms 1 and 2 consist of 10 teaching weeks with reading weeks halfway through the term. Reading Weeks in 2023/24 are weeks commencing 6th November 2023, and 12th February 2024.
(iii) Term 3 is usually dedicated to revision sessions and examinations.
