BSc Information Management for Business

If you answered “yes” to one or more of these questions then UCL’s new IMB degree is the programme for you. In close collaboration with some of the biggest employers in the IT industry - including British Airways, BT, Computer Associates, Ford, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Morgan Stanley, Norwich Union and Unilever we have put together a degree programme with a unique balance of IT, Management and Business that is designed to ensure that IMB graduates have the tools they need to excel in, and lead, the industries of the future.

The course specifically aims to:
- Provide students with a broad background of business operations, procedures & culture applicable to a career in an IT environment
- Equip students with sufficient technical knowledge to play a key management role in an IT related environment
- Encourage students to develop an innovative and entrepreneurial approach to grasping business opportunities
- Develop both personal and inter-personal skills to enable the students to work closely and communicate with employees in non-IT related areas of an organisation
- Provide students with a set of problem-solving and modelling skills appropriate to IT related business operations
- Enable the students to play a management role in an IT project
- Provide the students with business experience in a project oriented environment

Successful applicants for IMB are likely to have followed courses in ICT, science, technology, mathematics or business achieving at the equivalent of at least ABB at A level. Candidates with alternative qualifications or equivalent experience may be accepted, subject to review.
All applicants whose first language is not English must be able to provide evidence that their spoken and written command of the English language is adequate. UCL's preferred English language qualification is the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). More details
