MSc in Psychiatric Research

This course is intended for  a range of students who wish to develop their psychiatric research skills, including those considering doctoral fellowships or academic posts. It is very suitable for academically able psychology graduates, trainee psychiatrists and allied mental health practioners preparing for careers of various types. The course is intended to equip students with the research skills needed to begin to conduct their own investigations

MRc Psychiatric Research

MRcPsych Course: This postgraduate course brings together leading national and international teachers and takes a fresh and critical approach to the essential themes in contemporary psychiatry, in order to help prepare trainees for their membership examinations.

MPhil Phd or Md Degrees

Mphil/PhD or MD degrees: The Mental Health Sciences Unit provides a broad range of postgraduate opportunities has an excellent record of winning fellowship awards for postgraduate study, with grants from the Medical Research council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and Department of Health. There are currently about 25 postgraduate research degree students in the department. 


Undergraduate Courses

MB BS Course

MB BS course: Recruitment to this course is done by the Medical School. Psychiatry is taught as a component in Phase 2 Year 4 (new window)of the Clinical Neurosciences module (new window) of the MB BS course.
