A screening and discussion of:

L'albero dei destini sospesi (in Italian without subtitles)
(dir. Rachid Benhadj, 1997)

Abstract

Saimir is a young Moroccan boy who migrated to Italy for a better life. Maria is a young Italian woman with a complex life. They meet by chance and together they start a journey to the South that becomes the occasion of confrontation between different cultures and universes. They fall in love but their happiness is disrupted by a secret Maria can’t reveal.
