The UCL Mellon Programme is the brainchild of Professor Michael Worton, UCL Vice-Provost (Academic & International) and Fielden Professor of French Language & Literature, in conjunction with the Andrew W Mellon Foundation of New York. The aims of the programme are two fold i.e., to develop and disseminate interdisciplinary modes of research across the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and to provide a first-rate career start for recently qualified post-doctoral researchers.
Each year, one new post-doctoral research fellow is appointed to the UCL Mellon prgramme for a two-year term. The fellowship appointment is advertised - usually around April/May each year - via the UCL Mellon Programme mailing list, the Times Higher Education Supplement, the jobs.ac.uk web pages, and the UCL Human Resource's Jobs web page.
