| Dr Jérôme Game Identities and Culture in Europe - Word and Image, March 2002 - February 2004, then to a post at the American University of Paris |
|
As a UCL Mellon Fellow Jérôme was researching Identities and Culture in Europe with a focus on Word and Image, the role played by visual and textual representations in the construction of identity.
Research
interests
Contemporary French philosophy,
literature and cinema.
During his Fellowship Jérôme worked
on:
- two books provisionally entitled: A Poetics of the Virtual: New Approaches
to Contemporary French Literature; and The Cinema of Jean Eustache.
- the interactions existing between the textual and the visual in modern
and contemporary French culture, with particular emphasis on the construction
of identities. This work related directly to Jerome's role as a convenor

for a book.
Jérôme also organised regular poetry readings by contemporary
French authors.
