Research Description

Neural and reflex control of gut function in health, MS and spinal injury; manipulation of gut function through altering reflexes; sacral neuromodulation; electrical stimulation of gastric function and interaction with gut hormones in satiety; visceral nerve and muscle interactions in IBS (visceral hypersensitivity); stress response and gut autonomic tone; hypnotherapy in functional GI disorders; gut function in systemic sclerosis.
