Profile

Research Description

We have developed an inducible, cardiac-specific murine transgenic system. We are using this to investigate the role of transcription factor misexpression in cardiac disease. Another line of research is to develop tissue culture models of cardiac disease.

Research Activities

The role of transcription factors in cardiac disease

Education Description

I am course organiser of the Drug Development stream of the MSc in Clinical and Experimental Medicine. I lecture on the therapeutics course to clinical students, and the BSc modules on "the heart" and "drug discovery and development"
