CFHR5 Nephropathy

CFHR5 Nephropathy is a kidney disease which is particularly common in people from Cyprus. It is caused by a change in the gene CFHR5, which stands for Complement Factor H-Related gene 5. This change can be passed on by parents to their children so CFHR5 Nephropathy often runs in families.
