Cruciform Hub Now Open!

After a year-long refurbishment, the UCL Cruciform Hub is open from Monday 1st September 2014.  The Cruciform Library, Cluster and Seminar Rooms have been refurbished to create a welcoming and vibrant space at the heart of Gower Street.

Professor Jane Dacre was elected president of the Royal College of Physicians last night, by single transferable vote from a field of ten candidates, in a ballot organised by Electoral Reform Services.

Jane Dacre holds first MRCP PACES in Myanmar

This November, Professor Jane Dacre led the very first PACES for MRCP (Member of the Royal College of Physicians) in Myanmar. This was successfully held in New Yangon General Hospital, one of the teaching hospitals of the University of Medicine, Yangon.

We are very sad to report the death of Dr Daniel Brudney in a car crash on Friday 13 September.

Daniel Brudney had a strong affinity for University College. He attended the University College School before becoming a medical student at the Royal Free and University College Medical School from 1998-2004.

This year’s conference programme is built on the success of our previous, very popular events. The theme for this year is transitions in medical education and training and for this reason we have organised our two annual conferences to run on consecutive days. Figures published today by the Medical Schools Council show the rate of increase in the number of women in post has seen significant growth.

Number 1 in the capital (again!): UCL remains London’s top ranked medical school

UCL Medical School is ranked number 1 in London - again. The result of the 2011-2012 National Student Survey (NSS) has just been made available and Medicine at UCL continues to receive extremely positive feedback and the overall satisfaction score for MB BS programme is 94%. The MB BS degree at UCL also stands well above the sector average for medicine (89% overall satisfaction).
