North Central Thames Foundation School
Welcome to the North Central Thames Foundation School
The North Central Thames Foundation School (NCTFS) is a foundation school of the London Deanery and UCL Medical Sochol (UCLMS). The school co-ordinates the allocation process to Foundation Year 1 (F1) and Foundation Year 2 (F2), and supports the delivery of Foundation Programme and the development of foundation trainees.
The Foundation Programme is a 2-year generic training programme designed for medical school graduates. The programme forms the bridge between medical school and specialist/general practice training.
NCTFS offers 338 training places across 9 linked trusts:
• 316 standard 2-year programmes across 5 London Deanery and 4 East of England Deanery trusts
• 22 Academic 2-year programmes across 5 London Deanery trusts.
NCTFS is committed to providing high quality foundation training in all linked trusts, and working together towards the GMC standards for training for the Foundation Programme.

Recruitment 2013 : Minimum score guaranteeing a place in NCTFS for entry in August 2013 Candidates are informed of their overall score, by UKFPO, when they are allocated to a Foundation School. For entry in August 2013, applicants who ranked our school as their first choice scoring 84 or above (out of 100) were successful in gaining a place in NCTFS. |

Recruitment 2013 : Foundation Programme Contingency Plan Allocations The North Thames Foundation Schools will be interviewing reserve list applicants allocated to their schools as part of the national contingency arrangements. Interview dates will be published in due course but will probably be in the week following each batch allocation. |
