Scanning and colour printing
The Medical Library has a scanner and a colour printer which can
be used by registered library users, by appointment.
The scanner can scan up to A3 sized originals, but cannot scan transparent
images or slides.
How can I book a session?
Contact Caetano Joannes (ext.
38565) or Angela Young (ext.
33201) who will be able to scan documents for you, or provide training
if you wish to do bulk scanning and printing.
Which file formats are supported?
As well as the common Microsoft Office products, the PC connected
to the scanner and printer has Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator installed,
therefore it can deal with most image formats.
How much does it cost?
Scanning is free, however, colour printing carries a charge.

How can I save my scanned files?
If you have a logon to the local MEDSCH network, or the RFH Network you may logon to
the scanning PC with your own account details and save your files
to your network drive. Alternatively, you may save your files onto
memory stick or CD. CDs are available to buy from the library for
£1.50 each.
