Support for local NHS staff

Staff of the Camden Primary Care Trust, the Islington Primary Care Trust and the Camden & Islington Mental Health & Social Care Trust are eligible to join the Medical Library as an NHS staff member.

This will give them the same access and borrowing rights as staff on site. As such they will be able to:

Borrow and reserve books
Photocopy our paper journals
Use the inter-library loan service
Sign up for Information Skills Training sessions
Request a mediated search through our Clinical Effectiveness Enquiry Service by emailing details of the search to cees@medsch.ucl.ac.uk
Access the databases, e-journals and e-books available to NHS staff from UCL Library Services from designated computers in the library.

As NHS staff, staff from local trusts are also eligible for an NHS ATHENS account which gives them access to a range of databases, e-journals and e-books purchased by the NHS and also purchased by UCL Library Services. Please ask your local librarian for details on how to obtain an NHS ATHENS account.
