Application Process

  1. Check your eligibility

Check that you meet the entry requirements.
  2. Complete a UCAS application

Applications are made through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). The application deadline is 15 October. Late applications are not considered.

The UCAS application should be complete and accurate when submitted, as we do not accept later amendments, and should include a personal statement and an academic reference. There is no direct application process - only complete, on-time UCAS applications will receive consideration.
  3. Register to take the BMAT

You must also take the BMAT (BioMedical Admissions Test) in the year that you apply.

BMAT is used to assess scientific aptitude, critical thinking and written communication skills. The test focuses on scientific and other abilities relevant to the study of medicine. The test scores are used, along with other information in the UCAS application, to help us select candidates for interview.

Access arrangements and requests for Special Consideration must be made through Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing.
