UCL art and architecture first to show this summer

Publication date: Mar 21, 2006 4:58:11 PM

Art and architecture will combine in the first undergraduate shows of the summer organised by UCL's Slade School of Fine Art and its Bartlett School of Architecture.

But in a new departure the two schools, who traditionally exhibit separately, will share a common exhibition space at The Slade Studios, Gower Street.

Visitors will be able to witness the transformation of art works into grand design as four shows stretch across four weeks and the work of 444 students is displayed.

The Slade and Bartlett schools have a formidable reputation for excellence in their respective fields, attracting the best students from the UK and across the world.

Challenging and highly visual pieces will be on display from the best of the next generation of artists and architects, with the shows acting as a portal into the future shape of things to come.

The Slade Show opens on 21 May and ends on 26 May. On June 12 the Graduate Diploma show opens until 16 June to be succeeded by the Bartlett Show beginning on 22 June and ending on 29 June 2002. All shows will be at the Slade Studios.

The Slade Graduate Show will open on 20 June, ending on 28 June 2002 at the Woburn Square Studios.
