Research Interests
Computational Biomedicine, Systems and Synthetic Biology

My current research interests include the following rapidly expanding fields of Systems Biology and Medicine: i) multi-scale modelling and new recognition methods for biomedicine and cancer research, e.g., in silico modelling of the immune system and proteasomal degradation, ii) genetic synthetic engineering, e.g., investigation of synthetic genetic oscillators, especially in systems with intercell communication, i.e., quorum sensing. My research also contributes to the theory of noise-induced phenomena in spatially distributed systems, including applications to bone modelling.
