Promotions and New Appointments - October 2012

 1. I am delighted to report that Dr Felix Schulze will join the department as Reader in Pure Mathematics in Feb 2013. http://varevol.math.fu-berlin.de/e-index.html This appointment arises from the recent Reader/Chair hiring process in which Prof Michael Singer was also appointed.

2. Olga Chervova (supervisor: Dima Vassiliev) and Jonathan Remez (supervisor: Frank Johnson) have recently successfully negotiated their PhD vivas. Many congratulations Olga and Jonathan!

3. The Department is presently advertising for a Lecturer in Mathematics with emphasis on the mathematics of inverse problems. This is in support of a UCL-wide initiative related to inverse problems.
