UCL Institute of Risk & Disaster Reduction is holding two major events in June.

IRDR Annual Conference - 18 June 2014

The IRDR annual conference is a day of thought-provoking discussions, lectures and presentations of cutting edge research. It is aimed at researchers, practitioners, NGOs and city professionals - as well as the interested public. 

The conference will also include an exhibition of Fukushima Kimonos, an acclaimed sculpture by Japanese artist Yuki Yamaguchi, created in response to the nuclear accident at Fukushima. The exhibition, held in the South Cloisters of UCL, will be open to the public from 9am to 5.30pm.

IRDR Academic Conference on Research, Teaching and Service in Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience - 19 June 2014

The IRDR academic conference is an opportunity to improve communication and collaboration in the field of disaster risk reduction. The conference is interactive, giving opportunities for delegates to express opinions and insights.
