Edward Turner, the first professor of chemistry at UCL, was an important figure in the history of 19th century science. Appointed to the chair of chemistry soon after the college's foundation, he was also author of an important textbook of the day, his Elements of Chemistry. Third Crick Symposium: Genetics to Molecules to Therapies

Registration is now open for the next Crick Symposium on March 11, 2013 from 2pm. The Symposium is organised by the Francis Crick Institute and will take place at the Beveridge Hall, Senate House, Malet Street, University of London. Further details can be found here.
